p.1 #1 · Dante's View - Sunrise Colors

The strong winds at Dante's View prevented me from setting up my tripod to shoot sunrise images there and I had to shoot hand held. I had posted a pre dawn image previously. Here is an image just as the sun was coming out. The glow on the Panamint Range was just breath taking and the contrast with the white of the salt flats was great. This is a panorama shot, stitched from four images and shot hand held.

Your comments and criticism are always welcome.

Thank you,
Maji

I will have to go try to find your previous posts, if this is any indication they should be worth a look too

I like this one; this is such a great location. The colors and depth are nice, but the exposure/processing also has allowed you to bring out the very subtle patterns in the many rivulets that run down onto the valley floor; a detail I have not previously noticed in shots from this vantage point. Love it. I do find myself wanting 'more' as far as the view is concerned. How much cropping was done to achieve the pano treatment?

I have a very favorite image of my own taken from here on the opposite end of the suns travels, taken right after sunset. Truly a special place, located in a special National Park. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you mikey for your comments. I don't remember how much was cropped but I will revisit the image again.

Nice imaging, Maji. Its always very windy up there. Sure is some water down there, too. I was at Zabriskie at the same time!

Thank you Jeffrey. Windy or not, I loved the vista and sunrise colors from Dante's View.
