You clipped the leg in #4!!!! Bad!!
I love those first few shots. Great detail and all around fine image. I can never get my shots to look at all as good as these. This could be a sci-fi or alien post!
Thanks for these. Not something that usually gets posted here. Don
My bad. I was peeved I did digital amputation on that shot. Thanks for commenting Don. Appreciated.

Spiders and their webs make wonderful macro subjects as you certainly have shown here . Your shots make me wish for the return of spider webs and misty mornings

Thank you Birdie. I never seem to time my visits to this park when there is dew. And they tend to be bush dwellers, so dew shots would be tougher to obtain. Still, probably worth the effort to try.

Good shots of a creepy subject. Spiders are not my favourite (and I learnt last night that we are sharing our house with some False Widow Spiders). Really great pics.

Ken, Ken,
I'm misunderstood .
I despise house flies (especially in MY house) and, except for black widows, I like spiders- especially orb weavers.
So looking at a spider "preparing" a fly is almost a perfect act of nature.
And you've documented it perfectly here.
Charlie
PS- loved your "Waiter, there's a soup in my fly" comment.
That was hilariously original.

Mucho gracias Charlie. Glad you appreciated my humour.

Great set, Ken! I'm especially glad that Charlie chimed in, otherwise I would have had no idea to what you were referring! And, I would not have known that Charlie despised flies! (FWIW, this morsel -> soup looks too big for a Drosophilid, at least the ones with which I'm familiar).

Love it...always like to see my little buddies, in action. I'm about the opposite when it come to spiders and phobias...guess you could say I'm a Spider fan...Like that first shot best of all where the action is just starting to heat up.

Thanks very much Greg! I agree with your comment about the fly. Just wanted a "flyish" name to throw in there. Should have thought more about that. Definitely more the size of a housefly, but was something different.
