So, coming from Sony (not counting zooms): large aperture standard (50/1.4 presumably), and "middle telephoto", whatever that is. Hardly comparable to what Fuji is doing.

that is old. the large aperture standard is the 35/1.8 and the snap pancake is the 20/2.8.
edit: I believe the mid telephoto is supposed to be an 85mm of some sort.

Regardless ... Sony's E-mount lens roadmap is a yawner, with more consumer-focussed glass than serious enthusiast/pro offerings. I think Fuji's roadmap, by comparison, hits its target market better ... but that market is also arguably more limited, whereas Sony NEX has to address everything from beginner/newbie/happy-snappy to the pro/enthusiast (who might also be in Fuji's XP1/X-E1 market segment).

oh, i totally agree i was just pointing out that the roadmap was old and that we know what most of those unnamed lenses are already.

Top one looks like Lulworth cove, where's the second one, looks like some cool art/grafitti
Good eye. It's actually a bit west of Lulworth Cove though, adjacent to Durdle Door (just east of) overlooking Man o War rocks ... which is technically part of St Oswald's Bay I think.
The next two are in Swanage. That is a mural -- including the window on the left, which isn't a real window. Very cool piece of work as seen here.
Yeah, at first I thought it was a definite "stop the car!" moment to find something like that roadside. But then began to suspect it was a very well done mural.... somehow too good to be true. In any case, a great find in its own right!
How does compare the 14mm with 18-55 zoom at wider end? I read photozone mtf and the "kit" zoom MTF surprised me, being not too far from the fixed lens. I'll buy next year 10-24 OS but in the meanwhile i'm looking for a wide angle... voigtlander 12, 15 are good alternatives, but versatility and lower price of the zoom could be a decisive factor...
The 18-55 is a sharp lens, but the 14mm is better. The 14mm may be the best ultra-wide I've ever owned. (I have not had the 21 Distagon). It's sharp over most of the frame from f/2.8, and sharp all the way to the corners stopped down just a little bit. Very little CA and essentially zero distortion, which is amazing given the AOV.
