turtle14, excuse my language but "holy s**t", that has got to be THE BEST surfing/wake boarding photographs I have ever seen. Amazing work.

I've never understood why photographers take pictures of newspaper pages as soon as they get a new lens, but since that's apparently something one has to do, here's my humble contribution
I called this shot serendipity ... cause it was. It was about to get trashed with the rest of the failed ... and at the last minute I saw a faintly interesting pattern. I guess I had been wondering about how to shoot something different from the other 10,000 race shots I'd taken - and got an accidental answer.
It's funny how when you aren't into it ... it is hard to get any decent level of performance. It was my last race and I sure as heck was not into it. Time to move on eh Jorgen - when it get like that.
The VR on my 70-200 Actually did stop working. Well it worked ... in reverse. I could see the image bounce like a rubber ball on some shots. It's a Nikon getting TLC. I had it for fourteen months .... and I am SURE glad of Nikons Five year warranties!
As for coffee. yeah. Especially in the morning when replying to posts. Makes a guy (well, at least me) get carried away.
That is a great image Turtle, the lightthrough the water drops is super and the whole picture with that cord on top is just fantastic and great colors with detail
