Even if you were, my wife makes fun of me daily so I've got thick skin .

EDIT: Can we call this squish gate and make a big deal out of it like Diglloyd would?..

PS: I am not making fun of Blakehfreeman. This is real. Checked the D750, no "squish".

Feel the same as yours. Now I know how picky you are nothing to worry about. You can wait for a few month get another one feel the same and wait a few more months?

It’s hard to accept it as fact vs kool-aid when this is the first functioning green dot in 100 years 😃

It has definitely peaked my interest.

Congratulation! Charles. Be careful about R lens it is a dangerous slop

Yeh, if you enjoy shoooting manual lens, there is no SLR body better than D850 right now. I can rely on its confirmation dot if I choose to, though lots of time I just prefer eyeball focus through OVF directly.

Charles, I remebered with non-CPU lens, you can’t even change it with that ‘default’ setting, camera will not take it. I am pretty sure D810/DF doesn’t take it, but not remember I tried with D850. Anyway, it seems all my manual lenses are spot on with focus confirmation, even

Portrait shot with the 50 Cron R

I have now settled on my three 50mm lenses in my bag.

58/1.4G
50 Art
50 Cron R

Yes they are 50mm but the three lenses are so different and unique in their own ways.

This evening I was testing out the D850 with 50 Cron R and 2 SB 5000 flashes in umbrella/softboxes. I was not sure whether the older style of manual lenses like the 50 Cron R would work with the integrated Nikon flash system. I just used aperture priority mode, 64 ISO. The WB and exposure required no adjustment and worked normal both with the OVF and LV modes. I am very impressed

Just wondering, why do you plan on sending the camera into Nikon in a few months?

I always send my camera in prior to warranty expiring so I should have said "within the next 12 months." I send every piece of Nikon gear in before warranty expires. If theres no huge issue I at least get a free check and cleaning. I typically have a few small things like the button that accumulate prior to sending in as well.

I love the IQ with the 55 Otus but the size and weight is no go unless I have a special shoot. Then I would rent/borrow the lens

Using natural light coming int a garage, I took this shot of Dena with my new Zeiss Milvus 85mm. I have the 50mm f/1.4 also... RAW file processed in camera.

No "squish" here. Exposure compensation button seems not to be as exposed or raised as the record and iso button on my copy, but it works fine none the less. It ain't broke so it won't be "fixed".

First day out with the D850!

No one has the right to look this beautiful when they're 28 weeks pregnant ;).

Kids had fun modeling for the new camera!

Blake, congrats on the D850

Few shots from Alex's clothing shoot yesterday with my favorite 105E Manual lenses are so much fun, but you need work horses like the 105E and 70-200/2.8E that are fast and accurate AF. Our family friend was using my 70-200/2.8E with her D7200 and we only had a brief window between the rain, wind and storms.
