You can download the new Gitzo catalogue in PDF on their website. Their website is bad, but the Catalogue is really nice and explain everything you like to know

Lars, it looks like they have the ball at the bottom and the panning head at the top. I recently turned my Acratech upside down to achieve the same. I'm using it for panos. I don't know how the capacity of the Gitzo and the Achratech compare, but I like the upside down setup.
Actually Gitzo say that it's just not another reversed ball head
This is a very strong head made for super-tele lenses and have hydraulic locking system inside the ball. You can't even use it in portrait position because it's made for the super-teles with tripod collar
Lars, did you use one yet? I've not seen a review, but it would be interesting...hydrolics is new to ballheads as far as I know. Hydrolics could be very cool...it certainly is a sound tech long proven in many applications.

Shane, no I have not used one. Only been reading about them. But I like to give one a try
